Veterinary Intership

Clinique de 3 vétérinaires à Château du Loir (entre Tours et Le Mans) cherche vétérinaire salarié(e) en vue association, clientèle mixte à forte prédominance canine, locaux professionnels neufs, équipements : radiologie numérique, échographes (pour canine et rurale), laboratoire.
Studio sur place. Petite ville agréable et bien desservie (SNCF, autoroute) avec cinéma, maison de la culture, école de musique, nombreux clubs sportifs,maison médicale, collèges et lycées. Beaux paysages dont forêts.

Veterinary clinic of Château du Loir (Center West of France, between Tours and Le Mans) is a mixed animal practice mainly dedicated to pets and managed by 3 veterinarians. The clinic includes small animal exam rooms, a surgical suite, an in-house laboratory, a digital x-ray and an ultrasound scanner.
For large animal, there is an other ultrasound scanner.
We welcome applications from UE veterinarians with an interest in pets.
While some experience for large animal is ideal, we accept beginners.
This full-time,salaried position is available immediately and is to be transformed in association rapidly. We offer a studio apartment on the spot.
Château du Loir is a small pleasant town with sport clubs, movies, medical facilities, all scholar facilities, with a railway station and a highway.
Beautiful landscapes including forests.

Veterinary Internship at The Donkey Sanctuary

To start in late Summer/Autumn 2020

12-month internship based at the sanctuary’s brand new, purpose-built hospital at Brookfield Farm, Honiton, Devon.

Initial 6-month hospital-based role with daily duties including anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and in-patient care. To then transition into an ambulatory 6-month role looking after the sanctuary’s 2,700 donkeys across Devon and Dorset.

To work with farriers, dental technicians and pathologists, gaining a well-rounded knowledge of donkey care and treatment.

Opportunity to produce a research project with the help of the Sanctuary’s experienced research team with the vision of being presented at BEVA Congress.

Opportunity to travel and assist in the sanctuary’s overseas work.

External training at partner equine vet practices to enhance skills in a more horse-based case-load.

Working with colleagues at the forefront of donkey welfare and medicine.

To work 5 days a week Mon-Fri from 8am to 4:30pm with on call rota gradually transitioned into once the intern is confident and competent. Competitive salary with use of car included.

This internship will produce a vet that is competent in all areas of ambulatory equine practice whilst allowing them to have a superior knowledge and understanding of the different needs of donkeys.
